The most of the students, coming out from one of the examination centers, termed the difficulty level of the exam as “bit difficult”. “The paper was difficult, in some topics the difficulty level was more than the previous years. In today’s paper, there was no change in the pattern but some surprising elements were there in the paper,” said a candidate. The question paper was surprisingly different, the way questions were asked, was slightly different and the areas which were focused were also slightly different, he added.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Sunday conducted the civil services preliminary examination across the country. A large number of candidates appeared for the examination to fill approximately 782 vacancies.
